Almost the beginning of the migratory season at the "Refuge" and then the majority of the areas will be closed to the public visitors and turned over to the Winter residents coming in from the frozen North and other areas.

With all the rain, wild flowers, song birds, and Butterflies are a little slow to be active in the mornings but the pleasure of being surprised by them as you jog, bike, walk or ride along the approved areas within the almost 35,000 acres of a protective area for all forms of wildlife.
