This gallery contains not only a sampling of the activities and wildlife viewed this past Saturday, but also contains some photos taken during the week. Currently the observation pond is drained so as to kill the lotus overgrowth, the wood are thick, the crops are high, and the wildlife movements are, for August is mainly at nighttime.

This Saturday the local chapter of Ducks Unlimited had a gathering to raise charitable contributions for the waterfowl projects and while there was an over abundance of hunting season camo clothing within the visitor center.....this organization will begin taking an interest in the Refuge's daily needs rather than a good place to see how close they can get to the Refuge's border to get a lucky shot at a duck venturing away from the Refuge's safety.
