Today the WNR held the annual volunteer appreciation dinner for the numerous volunteers who donate over 7,000 hours to the Refuge in terms of work relief from staying at the Welcome Center to field labor and inter-action with the many operations from Florence to Scottsboro. A "Well Done" was given to them through out this day and evening. Here is a sampling of some of the activities the fulltime staff and their families offered as a thank you.

The observation pond's water level is now going down daily and the shorebirds are enjoying the moment.
