Today, besides a few outdoor life photos, the WNWR hosted the 2008 Junior Duck Stamp Contest for the State of Alabama entry in the National Contest. Started in 1995 at WNWR the Junior contest is now a National event. Entries were Statewide totaling several hundreds. There are 4 groups that are judged......Group 1 is grades K-3rd, Group 2 is grades 4-6, Group 3 is 7-9, and Group 4 entries are from grades 10-12. After several hours the State's entry was finally chosen. A hard days work for the five judges.
