Today 85 degrees and the birds stayed just out of good lens range. Also besides time for family picnics and enjoying the first real Spring day....the Refuge conducted the Junior Duck Stamp art work judging. The winning art work will represent the State of Alabama in Washington for the national contest. Listed within this gallery are samplings of the four levels of contestant's drawings from grades K to HS. Also picture is a sampling of the slow process the Judges went through to finally select the Best of Show. While we had several hundred entries, we always need more entries each year so the contestants can enjoy the educational benefits of their work and the prize of winner.
