Today was the last migratory count for the 2016-17 season. And as expected the vast majority of our visiting wild life have departed WNR for Spring and Summer. The photo opportunities were limited due to the cold clouds and high winds and lack of species. One blessing offered this morning was five immature Bald Eagles sitting on a sandbar waiting a chance to hunt for breakfast. While the quality of the pictures are not good due to poor lighting and their location being at the extreme limits of my lens.......their presence was worth the moment.
