Today we conducted the bi-weekly count. While the numbers are down on most Winter migratory waterfowl and "shore" birds....the numbers are still good for "birding" and the Summer residents are beginning to arrive. In a short time the planting for Winter food for the 2012-13 population and then the "song" birds will begin raiding the fields and game will start fattening out with young ones arriving soon afterwards. All in all the seasons are still moving like the wind through the trees.
