Finally after 3yrs of chemo, a fire, a tornado and the gifts of our Creator, we made it back to the Smoky Mtns for a visit to our favorite eateries and mountain trails. Very few tourists this time of the year now that the vast marjority of leaves have hit the ground, the New Year Celebration begins, and the snow season arrives. No lines, no slow driving people, very few photographers, and no city-people trying to pet the native animals. In short, a great time. Presented in this gallery is a sampling of the many many photographs taken during the 4 day escape from insurance companies, contractors who do not show up, and the rebuilding of our home and town.
