Finally after about 30 minutes of harassment from the Redwing Blackbird, the eagle took off towards another perch tree with the blackbird in "hot persuit".
Red Winged Blackbirds are very aggressive birds and will harass any larger bird. I have seen red winged blackbirds chase crows,hawks,and even great blue herons.
