The eaglet is now about 104 days old and still at the perch tree. While the bird is no longer a eaglet but a juvenile immature bald eagle and flies well.........it is interesting how the adult eagles still allow this young one to remain in the immediate area. Another interesting feature is the stance of this bird. It has developed a habit of lowering the left claw and allowing it to dangle after perching for a long period of time in calm skies. This may be a way of tracking and identifying this immature bald eagle for the future.
