Early as dawn was arriving at the river the tugs and barges shug up the river as they have for as many years as a living man can remember. As with all of life's speeds this event is like hearing the mournful train whistle late as night in a small Southern community. A pleasant sight to complement the land between the shorelines that protect and provide for our wildlife.
