The Center of Town in 1909. Behind these merchants is the bath house and train depot. The bath house provided cold and hot baths. The street behind them is now a four lane U.S. Highway.

One interesting point about the original layout of this city is all streets are line up North to South, the all avenues are all lined out East to West and the original streets were established with 100 foot widths down town so wagon could back to the store front without blocking traffic going to and fro along the main roadway. The "swordsman" in the previous "dude" painting was the man who used his eduction to design the first layout of the City. Germans were very strutured even in the 1870s. I often wondered if OCD originated in the germanic regions of europe or by the roman era for order?
