This killdeer has a nest nearby and to help protect it....this bird will faint a broken wing and try to draw the danger away from the nest to protect it. The next two photos document the "broken wing" act used to draw an enemy from the nest. Just as quick as it can act hurt...the bird can fly away from an attack.
