This little town has an interesting history of the whole town celebrating Halloween and good fellowship among town's people, children, merchants, and visitors.
About three in the afternoon of Halloween, the merchants and the "friendly folks" begin giving out candy to the youngsters as well as the adults. Makes no difference your age, your not turned away for a treat with no tricks. This tradition has been going on for years be it rain, shine, or snow.
From 3 PM to 8 PM the merchants say thank you for visiting this little town and doing business here as well as being away from home.
Some costumes are professional and some just thrown together or sparse in theme. But an interesting time for tourists and "locals".
