Niki and her mom stopped by the motor home for a visit on the day this photo was taken. Not too long afterward, Niki was bitten by a rattlesnake at her park model. She survived the bite and the treatment though it was tough going for a while.
She and her family, Bill and Sharon, moved to North Carolina several years ago.

"Hello! My name is Nikita, buy everyone knows me fondly as Niki.

I was saved from an abusive household when I was just six months old and adopted by my present humans, Sharon and Bill Goodwin. My Mom and Dad are very sweet, loving, and patient and always give me lots of love as well as lots of goodies!

I am now three years old and have learned so much, including a few tricks. I have a lot of great friends here at the Voyager that I love to play with in the dog run area. I hate to see them leave at the end of the season. I am a very happy dog and feel very lucky to be living here at Voyager with the best mom and dad a dog could have."
