Easy as 123..4

Shooting Owls is easy.
1) Get a location from a fellow Pbaser - William McMullen (to whom I now owe a steak dinner, as this is the second location he has given me)
2) Get up at 4am
3) Drive 988 km round trip
4) Get really lucky and actually see an Owl

Now I believe that they exist!

Canon EOS 1D Mark II N
1/4000s f/5.6 at 340.0mm iso320 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Way to go Bro, Great shot. Nice capture with the contrast of colours, especially when at that time of year, not a ton on colour on the table. B

Lucky you! I know they're around my parts, but I've only ever seen them once. Guess if I had the gumption to get up at 4am and drive 500km it'd be a different story. Congrats on the a fine capture.

Nice flight shot Brad, but I thought Casselman was only about 70 km from Ottawa. What have you been doing, driving in circles?? LOL.

I don't know if I would be this motivated to find out if owls exist :-) But you did get a great shot!

So to get to this site you had to go past me...Huh.
And look, we told you they existed and you got a cool shot as proof!

Way to go Brad!! Now about that steak dinner, lol! Glad you were able to see one and hopefully more than one. That early alarm clock paid off - well done. I like the "big picture" with the farm in the background. V.
