I'm really touched by the serenity of these owl crowned heads. Maybe you know that the owl (and the bat as well) were animals that were considered as very special, because they lived in both worlds, the one of the day and the one of the night. Around 1900 there was a rising interest for themes as the unconscious, dreams, symbols, (Freud) and these animals were thougt to have the wisdom of these both worlds. Day and night, the conscious and the unconscious. Putting an owl on your head is, I think so, a way of sharing this wisdom with them.... I often tell this in my lectures, and you would do me a favour with your permission to use these pictures to illustrate this.
