Eclipse

John Muir Country Park

The forecast was cloudy but the day turned out to be clear, so I headed off to a south-easterly facing beach for the eclipse of the sun.
At this latitude, we saw about 95% of the sun covered, so not a total eclipse. It didn't get as dark as I had expected but it was an experience all the same.
This picture is from multiple exposures taken as the moon passed over the face of the sun, covering about 5 minutes in all.

And last year it was time to duck.
