Watched a film tonight called "Divided We Fall" which largely documented the hate crimes against Sikhs following Sept. 11, 2001. The vast majority of US Muslims condemned the attacks and will tell you that the terrorists did not even know their own religion well enough that it would, in fact, condemn what they did. Those who follow the Sikh religion (and therefore are not Muslims) were attacked and killed because they wore turbans, have darker skin, and people just assumed they were Islamic terrorists or sympathizers. So this gallery will display me and a few other people in hats we have acquired from people of different cultures whom we worked with and liked, who liked us and who gave us the hats/headgear from their culture. Does that make us terrorists? I don't think so. For more on this deeply thoughtful film, go to: http://www.dwf-film.com.
