It is said that Peace Corps volunteers who return from South America come back revolutionaries; those who come back from Asia come back doing Zen; but those who come back from Africa come back happy. it is the hardest job you will ever love. The toughest part is not going there but coming back to the United States when your tour is over. Your values have changed forever; you have been changed forever; and, hopefully, at least in some small way, you will have changed the world forever. Thank you, President Kennedy and Sargeant Shriver; this was one of the most profound experiences of my life and, I imagine, of most of the other Returned Peace Corps Volunteers (RPVC's) from anywhere Peace Corps has been found. These galleries will be works in progress for a long, long time. If you are present in any of these pictures, I hope that this somehow touches your soul in a good way when you remember how it was, why you went there, and the lifelong Zambian and American friends you made there.
