Lotus, scratch seed to begin

Used a file to scratch the seed coat off a small area of the seed until the inner seed was showing. Then into water for a few days until 8 seeds sprouted. Then yesterday into a livestock trough with soil and water. The first photo shows a sprouting seed on Sunday, June 2, 2019. It may take a year or longer to finish this album as flowers may be that far away, edible seed pods even further.
