I no longer pray for you every day, but I do still pray for you often. Please be happy and at peace. President-elect Obama says that he will expand Peace Corps, but much reform is needed first and it isn't country-specific, but organization-wide. Safety and security of volunteers are priority issues. Peace Corps needs to get rid of the mind-altering drug mefloquine. Volunteers need to be treated like the heros they are rather than whiners when they ask for medical help related to their service or for protection and justice when crimes are commited against them in the host country. The many political appointees in Peace Corps need to be replaced with competant people, returned volunteers who have been there and done that.
