The North West Coast 2021

From Devonport we drove along the north west coast, through Penguin, Burnie, and Wynyard and south to Waratah, and then Stanley, on the coast.

The scenic drive took us through rolling farm country, a patchwork of rich brown ploughed paddocks, green crops, round bales bleached in the sun and small communities. As well as producing potatoes, this is rich dairy country. The road, following the coast, provided views of wide pristine beaches, miles of sand and sparkling sea and rocky headlands.
