Mount Gambier,in the the south east corner of South Australia and halfway between Melbourne and Adelaide,is surrounded by a rich farming landscape and contains many dormant volcanoes, jutting out of the plains but with deep underground waterways and secret caves. It is an historic and still flourishing city.

We stayed for a few days in a delightful little purpose built cottage on part of farm land. Plain outside but beautiful views across the hills and only minutes from the main oart of the city.
