Central Australia, September 2007 - 4 galleries

A cloudless, brilliantly blue sky and ochre desert sands stretching across to the rugged purple, grey and brown MacDonnell Ranges which encircle Alice Springs.

Mulga, spinifex and dry creamy white grasses, dotted wih taller desert oaks, prickly wattles, river red gums and the beautiful Namatjira ghost gums.

Three days based in Alice Springs and exploring the MacDonnell Ranges national parks, east and west, followed by six days in a 4WD camper travelling further afield to the world-renowned sights of Uluru (Ayers Rock), Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), Watarrka (Kings Canyon) and Palm Valley. See my blog.
