The next day we took the helicopter over to Kulusuk. I mentioned in the caption to the second photograph in this gallery that the shots from my pocket camera on the flight over to Tasiilaq had come out blurred because the helicopter was vibrating so much. So for the return trip I used my D100 with my faster lens, and a shutter speed of 1/8000th. That enabled me to keep the ISO at 100 and get some good shots without any noise. This shot was taken over an island (not named on the map) on the eastern side of the mouth of the Angmagssalik fjord (which is the large expanse of water in the top left).
