I am Janet S. Hassell, grand-niece of Elisabeth Minerva Shipley. I possess several volumes of Shipley family letters created by mailing letters to a family member who would write a letter and send it on to the next family member in line. These letters provide a lot of family history and I would like to share them with a Shipley relative, if anyone is interested. These are amazing pictures,I just started looking for my husbands family history and my dad sent me this link. My husband Wayne is the son of Lillian Esther Shipley,she is the daughter of Ward Laclair Shipley and he is the son of William Lester Shipley and Juda Ellen Reed. Many of the names I see here Like Benjamin Shipley,Cecil Shipley and The last name of Kimes has shown up in my research.I would love hearing from anyone with more info or if you need info I might have please contact me,I would love too share.Thanks Cindy

This is such an outstanding web site and fortunate find for me. The site was linked at Ancestry.com to my great grandfather David Walker Lewis' tree info. I am the son of Stella Francena Lewis who was the daughter of Amy Luella Menefee and Henry Lewis, son of David Walker Lewis and Eliza Jane Shipley. These are photos I have never seen before and it is so good to have access to them. Thank you for creating this site and linking it to share with other family members.
