Scio sells itself as the covered bridge Capital of the West.
Scio's claim to the title comes from the fact that six of the eight bridges on its tour list are still in service and well maintained. Cottage Grove only has two bridges in service. However, the Bohemian Hall bridge doesn't really count since its truss is all that's left and that has been in outside storage at the Linn County Maintenance yard since 1987.
In this tour the Weddle bridge is not included because it's relocated to Sweet Home and Gallon House near Silverton is included because of its proximity to Scio.
This tour (minus Bohemian Hall and Weddle) includes these 6 covered bridges plus three optional:
Stayton-Jordan, Shimanek, Hanna, Larwood, Hoffman, Gilkey, Plus the optional Scio Mini, Scio Walking and Silver Falls.

You are right, Eloise. It should be included here, I've photographed the walking bridge, but not published any pictures. It's tucked around the corner from the pink mini-bridge.

Scio also has a walking bridge over Thomas creek that was built for residents to get from the N. side of town to the S. while the bridge on main street was being replaced. The walking bridge is designed to look like a covered bridge also. Would like to see a picture of that bridge on this site also.
