This tour includes bridges on or near scenic McKenzie River and white water rafting east of Eugene, Oregon. It goes up and over McKenzie Pass, the highest pass through Oregon's Cascade Mountains. McKenzie Pass is closed in winter.

This tour is recommended for summer, fall or spring when the McKenzie Pass is open. McKenzie Pass has a large lava flow and observatory at the summit of McKenzie Pass that makes an enjoyable stop in its own right. You can make a day of it and drive to scenic Sisters and on to just north of popular tourist destination Bend, Oregon where the Rock of the Range bridge is located.

This tour has two alternatives where you don't drive over McKenzie Pass but stay on Highway 120 all the way to the south Santiam Highway (Hwy 20).

In alternative one you turn left at take the Sweet Home Tour going back to the Willamette Valley.

In alternative two you turn right and go up to the Santiam Pass, then drive Highway 22 back toward Salem, Oregon and take all or part of the Scio Tour on the way back into the Willamette Valley.
