The spaces between the joists over the bedroom Uphill wall, are filled with "blocks" of 45 mm thick material. The hydronic pipes pass through these "edge on". I am told that this is nothing special, but we were pleased when the drill for these holes went up through the floor and didn't appear out the side of the block! 28-12-05
