NGC7331 and Stephans Quintett

Embergeralm, Austria

Here the galaxy NGC 7331 lies in the middle of the field with many other smaller galaxies peppering this region in Pegasus. The biggest group of field galaxies could be seen south of NGC 7331. Its known as Stephans Quintett. The image was taken with an SBIG STL11000 and a TEC Apo refractor (140mm/f7 focal length 980mm). RGB filters were used from Astronomik. Exposure times were 3x5 mins with the red filter. The green and blue image were exposed respectively 1x5min. Additive exposure time is therefore 25 mins. I hope I could obtain more data of this interesting field in the near future.
