Rebel XT Test: Tamron 70-300 with & without 1.4 teleconverter
The images are paired in accord with each foto's markings as observed on the 70-300 lens. The exif data per foto is most accurate. Remember, the 70-300 lens itself merits a 1.6 multiplier. When the teleconverter was used, an additional multiplier of 1.4 is needed. Each digital image was shot in raw on a hazy day in Rocky Mountain National Park. Each image was cropped to 4x4" and Photoshop CS2 was used to adjust levels. No other image alterations (except size) were done in the comparison images. Mirror lock, tripod, and remote were used for each comparison shot.
