Comparison of Canon Rebel XT and Panasonic Lumix Fz50

All photos in this gallery were shot in raw, using tripod, at f11, autofocus centered. The XT shots utilized remote cable and mirror lock. The Fz50 shots utilized 10-sec delay. Initial observations include: Compared to XT, LMX records raw with less saturation. Compared to LMX, XT's underexposure is evident. Tint is different between the two cameras viewed in raw via Adobe Bridge - eg, in orange cap on bottle. When still viewed in raw and unadjusted for hue, Canon XT is closer to actual color of the bottle-cap. Leaves' color is very different between XT and the Fz50. The XT shoots in a 3:2 ratio, so the Fz50 was set to a 3:2 ratio. The photos were not cropped. They were size reduced to 6x4 using Photoshop CS2, and were set to 100 pixels per inch.
