After the exhilarating 3-day flower festival, we joined a one-day tour to Chiang Rai. The itinerary covered a hot spring, the White Temple, two tribal villages, lunch at a resort restaurant, the Golden Triangle (interesection of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, and Mae Sae, at the border crossing to Myanmar. We left the hotel at 7.30 a.m. and came back around 9 p.m.
