The court was the original entrance to the house and is bordered on three sides by a balustrade wall of Ham stone, decorated with lanterns and obelisks; and on the west, by the terrace of the house. Within the walls there are borders of mixed flowers and shrubs and following a planting scheme devised in the 1950s by Mrs Phyllis Reiss of nearby Tintinhull.
