Orchids

my parents have been collecting orchids for about 40 years & almost all are from our collection
most of the orchids were done in a studio using a single SB28 flash with reflectors with the more recent using as well umbrellas and a second SB800 on TTL with the SB28 on A mode using an SU4 as a flash triggered slave
more recently I have added a Sigma ring flash for studio & field work

Your Den formosum is not the species. They frequently are referred to as "formosum type". If you Google Den formosum, you'll see that formosum has a yellow throat and wide white petals. There are many hybrids with the orange throat and narrow petals.

Your Den New Guinea coould be the hybrid Den Miva Abracadabra or some hybrid using polysema. And your bracteosum album is pink and obviously not album.

Pleurothallis linearifolia 08 isn't a Pleurothallis but a Dendrochilum. I think Dendrochilum filiforme. But very nice pictures !!!

I use both a black background & Photoshop I carefully select the black background and then fill in pure black using a simple action I wrote that applies a feather as well
