native to the central US & bugs love it
used tracking focus as a modest breeze bounced this new flowering frond
it grew as a hitch hiker in an orchid pot from my old greenhouse & considered a weed by lovers of flashy catlayas

I'll see if I can re-plant it once dormant as I have a raised bed quite near where this sprouted
