On Thursday, Mark and I teamed up with guide Aaron Dirks. (Yes, if you've been counting, THREE of our guides were named Aaron. Very confusing.) I had not yet
fished for arctic char or sockeye salmon, so we headed east along the lake to find a spot where they were gathering. We weren't disappointed. At the third spot
we checked, where creeks enter the lake, we found a large mixed bunch of both species.

Mark and I both landed a sockeye. Here is mine. I love its colors.
