Ted and I teamed up on this trip, with Aaron ("Junior") Kirksey as our guide. The 3 of us hiked up this little side creek for a ways, bushwacking through the bank brush,
whistling and singing out to avoid surprising any bears. (Junior carried a big shotgun, just in case our noise-making failed to work.) We didn't find any grayling up here,
but there was a school of sockeye salmon in spawning colors below the beaver dam.
