I visited my local wetlands noticed two galahs fly into a high old gum tree. the male made all kinds of moves on the female and they went to inspect a likely nest in the tree. they messed around for ages whilst i sat under them in the sunshine. they even disapeared into the hole completely a couple of times. they got to the collecting twigs to make the nest when out of the blue a lorikeet came between them and disapeared into the nest. after ages of agitation trying to get back in themselves they just gave up and flew away and I was left thinking. what was all that about. some magic moments though
