This is a technique that I have used occasionally for a long time. In traditional photography it consisted of doing two prints as normal and then flipping the image horizontally and doing two more. The four prints were then assembled to create an interesting abstract design. Nowadays this is fairly easily accomplished in Photoshop. BMW Headquarters is a Munich landmark which has served as world headquarters for the Bavarian automaker BMW for over 40 years. The Tower was built between 1968 and 1972 and was ready in time for 1972 Summer Olympics. The tower's exterior is supposed to mimic the shape of four cylinders in a car engine.
