In Memoriam Piet_Emck Paintings

In this gallery you will find paintings by our recently deceased dear friend and painter Piet Emck.
Piet was born and raised in Leerdam - the Netherlands, and was known for his paintings of Leerdam in ancient times.

Until a few years ago he was also working as a guide in "Het Hofje van Aerden".
There he had access to old drawings, photographs and sketches and other information about his birthplace.
Information that he used to make his paintings of old Leerdam as accurately as possible.

Very often we have enjoyed the stories of the past that Piet could tell so vividly.
Piet was cremated on Friday, March 4.

We will miss him very much.

Hallo heer Emck, Goed zeg,die afbeeldingen van oud Leerdam,Het is nu 50 jaar geleden,dat ik uit Leerdam vertrok en heb je nog gekend als jongeman.Papa Emck nam de zaak van Schreuder over en starte een sportatikelen zaak op de Hoogstraat,naast smederij Geurts. Groeten van Arie Bats ondertussen 86

wat heb ik genoten van de mooi oude stads gezichten! Als geboren en getogen Leerdamse(ben al 40jr.geleden verhuisd) trekt de oude stad mij nog steeds, Mooi werk Piet,ook het kleurrijke werk van sylvia sprak mij erg aan. ik kom zeker weten kijken wat je verder voor moois maakt. groet,suzanna
