Al Quash, Iraq

Today we visited the Christian village of Al Quash.
It is a very old village but most of it was destroyed by Saddam Hussein.
There is a beautiful monastery there which runsa large orphanage.
This is a carving in the smaller monastery above the village.

very intriguing. iraq has such rich history. perhaps one day it
will be safe for tourists to explore it.
