Kurdish man

Dohuk, Iraq

Today has been a very quite day for me and the rest of Dohuk.
I think it is due to the relief of the election build up of the last few weeks.

This image I took a few days ago in the bizaar.
There is a group of old-timers who gather in the same spot everyday.
Some sell a little tobacco and herbs or the occassional prayer beads.
The rest past the time of day discussing politics and the state of the country.
All are in traditional costume, something the younger generation have forsaken.

Dear Anthony,
I wanted to ask you if I could use this picture in the cover of my thesiswork? I have written a thesis about Syrian Kurds and would like to have a nice picture on the cover page...of course I would mention that you have taken this photo. Pls tell me what you think a.s.a.p.
Love,
Sari
