Gallery: Butterflies

Because my "Insects" gallery is almost bursting, I'll move the butterflies here. 2005 was especially good for butterflies, I found a place where you are literally wading through them in July and August. Wonderful. They are quite tame too, and can be approached with a 90mm lens. That's what I consider very close to paradise...

Your butterfly pictures are amazing! I've just recently been able to find any to shoot and mine are not nearly as beautiful! Your pictures also helped me to identify several that I shot today since I didn't know what they were. I was disappointed to see that you don't live in the U.S. because I wanted to know where you go to find all these butterflies. ;)
