The repeating elements of this photograph make it an extraordinary composition. From the bean-shaped seeds, their papery pods, and the exquisite spiral of the snail's lovely shell, the whole image seems to be about shapes that curl around into themselves. The contrasting textures of the glistening body and enamelled shell as well as the dry and delicate plant tissues are also delightful.
