One last try, but the parent didn't have more. So the little one simply took wing and pestered the other parent. :-) This little sweetie and its siblings and all the other young birds were around for maybe one or two weeks until they gradually learned to find their own food. The parents had one or some even two more batches of cuties and then they all took off to roam the fields. They are coming back to the houses now (end of September) to get ready for winter. This has been a good year, I haven't seen a runt or a sick one, and even the parents looked healthy and relatively well-fed after raising their children. Hard to believe seeing this pic. :-)
