After the devastion of 9/11 I decided to put my mind at rest by creating photo collages in Photoshop. I kept thinking over and over again what would the angels up in heaven be feeling about this tragic event in the history of our country. That is how I came up with the name of the first image -- Lament of the Angels. I felt that the angels were looking down on the earth and sobbing. They were so disappointed in how little we had evolved over the years. As they touched down on earth their sorrow was great. The images of the angels were taken from my photos of statues of angels in the cemeteries of Oaxaca, Mexico. I recently transferred all of these images off zip drives and put them onto my laptop to burn them onto CDs. I emailed them to a friend. She thought they were so good that I should consider donating them to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum. On January 18, 2017 I received an email from the museum stating they wanted my images to be a part of their collection. I was deeply honored that my work was accepted by them. As we go forward in life, may we all be concerned with the peace and safety of our world.
