Although my ancestors were Cowlitz, I love making baskets with designs of many different Northwest Tribes. There are several pages going from the first baskets I made to the latest creations, so my newest baskets ( mostly imbricated ) can be found on the last pages. Also, where it says "post a comment," please, please, please leave me a message to let me know you were here. People have been asking if any of these are for sale. I sell one now and then on eBay, and give a few away to family. A few have been sent over to Lapwai, Idaho to be sold in the McConville family's wonderful Moccasin Flats Trading Post. Joyce is correct in mentioning that you are "blessed...with talent" but I would be remiss if I did not mention that your talent (a blessing for sure) is also the result of many tedious and long hours and days of hard work and diligent practice. To remark that your talent is a blessing without acknowledging the hard work you put into your work somehow doesn't seem to give you the proper credit that you are due.

Hey it's me again . . . I was just wondering if you were a relative of Helen Harrison, a weaver of a mini basket that I am guessing is older work, that I seen featured in the book "From the Hands of a Weaver" (from the collection of Chris Morganroth III)

Beautiful basketry... Your site came up when I was searching info about making baskets from horsetail. I grow a lot of it, along with papyrus (mid size cultivar, about 6 feet tall), and I'm getting tired of taking my clippings to the community mulch pile. So, looking into learning about weaving. I often gift small rooting a to family and friends, and figured if I could make some baskets from clippings to plant them in, it would be awesome. I love your baskets. I'm crazy about cedar weaving and I love twining, but I don't know how to do imbrication. I keep reading about it but it doesn't seem to make sense to me. Is there a simple explanation or simple diagram to explain it. I seem to be missing it completely. Thanks. Don

I am looking for a Nez Perce type corn husk basket hat to purchase for use in Appaloosa Horse club Heritage classes (6 3/4" diameter, 7 to 9 inches in height). Do you make these type of basket hats?
