Sue, false embroidery is a three strand technique, which keeps your decorative weaver at the outside at all times. I probably should have used wrapped twining on that decoration, instead of false embroidery to keep it truly Tlingit. Both of these methods raise the decoration where you can feel it, like the brocade affect I was telling you about. Wrapped embroidery would have kept he lighter color from showing through, also.
